The Philadelphia Base Ball Festival returns to the Philadelphia Navy Yard August 25-26, 2018.  Come one, come all to The Philadelphia 19th Century Exhibition at the Navy Yard! This is the largest vintage baseball tournament in the Delaware Valley, boasting teams from Maine, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington, DC, and Colorado!

Vintage baseball (or base ball, as it was spelled in the early days) is baseball as it was played in 1864, by amateurs. What does this mean? Wool uniforms, NO GLOVES (all catches are barehanded), and witty banter that make for an entertaining afternoon.

There will also be vendors selling vintage-inspired goods, food offerings, and ice cream for sale throughout the weekend.

The best part – ATTENDANCE IS FREE, PARKING IS FREE, and the Navy Yard is SEPTA-accessible.
