Expansion/Looking to Play?

Do you live near one of the clubs and are interested in playing vintage base ball?  All of the clubs are looking for ballists to help bolster their rosters.  You don’t need to be a former professional player or a softball all-star to play for the clubs.  All you really need is a love of the history of the game.  Most clubs playing age requirements start at 21 and go all the way up.  There are members of many clubs in their 50s, and even late 60s!  The more “experienced” you are in age, the more likely you are to “place” the ball in the holes.  It doesn’t take very long to pick up the game, but it may take years to “master” it!  Currently there are clubs in northeastern Virginia in the Manassas area; the Washington DC area, the Baltimore area, the Annapolis/Baltimore area, the Cecil County, Maryland area, Chester County,Pennsylvania area;  Delaware, the lower Eastern Shore, the Philadelphia area, the Central  and South New Jersey region, Manhattan, and Long Island, NY,south-central Pennsylvania and Providence, Rhode Island.

Do you not live in one of those areas, but reside somewhere between Virginia and Maine?  Consider starting your own club!  The executives from the Mid Atlantic Vintage Base Ball League will help you every step of the way in recruiting players, publicizing your club, finding a field, setting up your schedule and everything in between.  The MAVBBL is particularly interested in starting clubs in the following areas:  Washington DC, Richmond, Virginia; Fredericksburg, Virginia; Lancaster/York, PA;  and Scranton/Allentown, PA;
